What is Involved in Creating
a Life Story?

Deciding that you want to create a life story
is probably one of the hardest parts.  We,
at LifeStories, will help you get started...

We are neutral listeners—a non-family
member—trained to elicit comprehensive
stories and preserve them.  We also strive
to create a warm and caring atmosphere for
your loved one to feel comfortable in retelling
these stories.  This is designed to be relaxed
and fun!

We will first provide you with a questionnaire to get “facts,” such as name,
place of birth, etc. This information can be taken over the phone.

At a mutually agreed upon time, we will conduct a series of digitally
recorded interviews with your family member  - preferably in his or her own
home --  done in one day (3-4 hour session), or over a period of two days
in 2-hour sessions.

Interviews are transcribed and published in a book making a permanent
memoir for your children or grandchildren

Photographs are also added.  We can take and print color digital
photographs, or your family photos can be scanned
or copied.

Other mementos can be added such as newspaper clippings, wedding
invitations, etc.

The final life story is printed in 20 soft cover books and one hardcover book.
You keep the digital recordings in a CD set.
